The Charities – Where the Prize is Going

So you’re probably wondering where exactly the prize money will be going if I win. I’d be thinking the same thing as well.

The way the “You Could Win Up To $250,000″ in the Doritos Viralocity contest works is that you can win $100,000 for achieving the highest “Doritos Viralocity Score”. And an extra $150,000 if you reach a score of over 10 million. See the Contest Details for more info on prizing.

PRIZE MONEY FOR CHARITIES FOR THE $100,000 GRAND PRIZE

If I am able to win the Grand Prize, I will donate the following amounts to the following charities:

• $25,000 – Canadian Cancer Society
• $25,000 – Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
• $50,000 – The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada

PRIZE MONEY FOR CHARITIES FOR THE EXTRA $150,000

If I am able to win the additional Grand Prize by achieving a Doritos Viralocity Score of 10 million, I will donate the following amounts to the following charities:

• $25,000 – Canadian Cancer Society
• $25,000 – Colorectal Cancer Association Of Canada (hey, I’ve got Crohn’s so they’re close to my, um, heart)
• $25,000 – Childhood Cancer Foundation
• $25,000 – Ovarian Cancer Canada
• $50,000 – The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada

IF I WIN ANY KIND OF PRIZE:

• It will be split between the Canadian Cancer Society (50%) and The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada (50%) – except if I win a bag of Doritos – those I will selflessly keep for myself only
