What You Can Do to Help

If you’re wondering how best to help out, here are a few tips to spreading the word about the Doritos Viralocity “Crazy Cheezy Dream” (NOTE: apart from emailing the link to others, be sure to use all of the tools on my video page on the Doritos site (click here to go there). If you do everything from there, you score bonus points and push everyone back to the contest page.

1) Share the video on Facebook – Just click the share link on the bottom left of the video with the Facebook icon. That posts an item to your newsfeed to your friends about the video. DO THIS EVERYDAY…it’s easy from friends to miss news items…don’t worry, they won’t mind, it’s all for a good cause and it ends March 31st.
2) Tweet it – if you have a Twitter account, click the “Tweet” beside the Facebook share button.
3) Rate the video – Under the video on the contest page, there are 5 stars. Click on the 5th star and rate the video.
4) Favourite the video – Click the “Fav” button
5) Comment on the video – Let me know your thoughts on the video
6) Post the short URL (http://bit.ly/cdnnt7) or embed the video on your blog or website (get the code on the site, on the bottom right of the video)
7) Use all the other social sharing tools under the video if you have accounts for them…feel free to open accounts, some of the tools are neat!

OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO:
1) Write an email to friends – :bcc your entire address book. Feel free to use the copy or messaging on the this site – BE SURE TO INCLUDE THIS LINK: http://www.doritosviralocity.ca/Gallery/VideoDetails.aspx?v=6435
2) KEEP SHARING AND EMAILING
3) KEEP SHARING
4) Write to your local paper and tell them about this
5) If you own a skywriting airplane, use that. Because that would be awesome!

It’s a pretty easy sell – just tell others to visit the site, make a few clicks and you can help potentially raise $250,000 for charity…

Maybe next time I’ll do a 10K run and ask for pledges. But this whole thing seems like a much bigger challenge.
